Year 2009 !!

Every new year, we look back at the year just passed and wonder how did the year go…good or bad. Most of the times we just think of major issues/incidents that took place and tend to overlook the smaller things.

It happens to me always that I just think of key events that took place. Hence I decided to capture some of events as they unfold in this year including the smaller things .Lets see how 2009 shapes up for me..

January : I always consider January to be the luckiest month, just because I have birthday in January and now I also  have my wedding anniversary. This year though the start of the year was not so good .  On January 1st, the first thing that i noticed in the morning was a BIG DENT in the brand new car :( that too in a parking lot of a Vegas hotel. So the first morning of new year was not at all good for me. In the first week , I also lost my grandfather :( , so i had a terrible start to new year.

Other than that the overall month was Ok.  I had  week long travel to Phoenix, Arizona for one of my meetings.  We had good time on both my anniversary and birthday.

Also the new years resolutions were broken within fifteen days.  I had decided to stay away from meat as long as possible, however I broke that resolution by eating a nice Steak in Pheonix.  I still have another resolution for the year though..to lose weight. Lets see if I actually make it by the end of the year.

February : Half of my February, I spent in San Antonio. I had a two week long meeting there.  Even on Valentine’s Day I was not home :( . However I spent that weekend in Dallas meeting my old friends. It was good that I went to Dallas, else I would have bored to death in San Antonio over the weekend. Visiting dallas, revived the old memories of the school days.  I also visited the campus for the feel good factor :) .

On the other side, the economic recession in the country took its toll on the free food in our office. We were notified that no longer we would be served the free food but it would be subsidized (which is not bad.) I definitely prefer to have a job than free food :D

We also planned and booked tickets for my parents-in-law’s upcoming trip.

March : ……..will update at the end of the month.
